This is the largest known Atalanta multiplying game reel known, It is 7 5/8″ Diam with a 5″ Wide spool and has a level wind. This reel was made by Frederick Smith for R.J. Fagan. Fagan fished with Zane Grey in 1936 and this reel, as well as Fagan and Bullen, are mentioned in Zane’s book - An American Angler in Australia. Circa 1935
